Thanks for all the input. Safety is my main concern - Roland and a few others echo my concerns. I have started doing 1/4 mile tracking for fun and when I recently ran less than 2/100 seconds of requiring a roll cage and fire suit, I began thinking about "why they require additional safety measures at that speed" and the potential danger of a cheap seat failure, if something stupid was to happen just after the trap at 135 mph. Chances are this will never happen, but a situation under those circumstances is a scary thought. Adding a failing seat mount to the mix is an ugly picture. So, even though they are probably fine, I can not in good conscience take the chance. But man they look really nice and for only $1,600 - very tempting.

Good Decision John

>>Roland and a few others echo my concerns<<

Attached 993TT crash picture! Car left the road while traveling 195 mph..landed upside down and backwards. Sparco seat well braced and properly supported, held up.

Cheers

Roland,

Have you seen first hand how the Porsche Tech Equipment roll bar holds up? I'm looking at that and the DAS unit. I'm sure at your speed level you have a full cage of some sort!
