I wonder how a Turbo would do against this 914?

Not really my cup of tea, but I wonder how a 996 Turbo would fare against this 500HP 914-8. I personaly like the /6's better.

Let me know what you think?

It would probably school any 3500 pound car around the track... including a 996TT. I mean it's probably got 17s with Hoosiers and 13 inch wide wheels and weights 2000 pounds if that...

It has 18's K58's 10x18 and 13x18, 993 Turbo Brakes, 930 Transmission, 275/30 in front and 335/30's in the rear, and a 500HP V8. The car weights about 1800-2100 lbs. Scary Fast I bet.

Is it a small-block Chevy or a Ford?

Samll block Chevys in light-weight cars are lots of fun.

My brother-in-law briefly had a Corvair into which a Chevy 327 mated to a Toronado transaxle was fitted backwards in a mid-engined arrangement (in the former back seat). Kelmark, or somebody, made the adapter kit.

It was REALLY fast. After driving it for 10 minutes, you couldn't stop grinning like the Cheshire cat.

Protomotive has a souped up 914 that has over 600hp. So its power to weight ratio was better than most superbikes.

yea, they can be insane. Like the guys in europe throwing bseries vtec motors into little coopers. Can you imagine what a fully built honda vtec motor in a little cooper would do That thing would be a blast to throw around the canyons.

David,
do you have a link to access more info on this 914?
Do you know the owner?
