I've used that same technique many times with other cars. It's not overly difficult.

justdumb is infamous around these parts
"If the handsome good looks of the 911 don't catch her eye, the rumble of the dual exhaust is sure to grab her attention"

Are they trying to say women know a vacuum cleaner when they hear one?

Agreed. I've own 3 vettes including a 95 yellow(love the color) zr1 and most people didn't even know the difference. I see c5's and c6's all over town, as well as boxters but very very rarely do I see a 996tt. As a matter of fact I don't recall seeing one in about 1yr other than the track. There are quite a few carreras around but not tt's. When the c6 z06 came out I really considered buying one over my tt. One of my friends has the new z and just one ride in it made up my mind. Plus I like the safety net of the awd, especially when it comes to the round abouts in my daily communte.

Hi KNanthrup,

Thanks for correcting me. That's what I get for posting info from my brain's data banks about racing in the 80's. Have not done any kind of racing since that time ergo my "dated data." Watched the video and I see how that could easily be done.

No worries It does look a lot like he would be using a line-lock but there is also a poor-mans way of doing it

KNanthrup

Most of us weren't smart enough to figure that out in the eighties. The "Line Lock" was "da bomb." Hell, I even put one on a stick-shift street rod that didn't have a convenient hand-activated emergency brake for a polite departure when the red turns green ,and you are on an incline that doesn't work in your favor.
