I am thinking of adding these. My car will be converted to rwd so Ive heard I could also use the front sway. I currently have ROW suspension and stage 2 power. What could I expect from putting the sways on and should I do both of them or just the rear? My car feels pretty sloppy and motorboat like at times now. I cant afford coilovers though so I will need to keep the ROW stuff for a while. Does anyone have both front and rears here? thx

 

Well I don't like the idea of GT3 sway bars on a AWD or even RWD TT. Unless you change the wheel carriers/hubs etc... then the geometry is all wrong and you have binding issues with drop links etc.. Not a good match really. Stick to a set of H&R ones that are made for a turbo instead of a 2WD car like the GT3 or GT2.

Yes, but its only the rear GT3/GT2 sway bar. IMHO its all you need and its cheap and effective.

Not really no. They're beefier too...

 

The rear one is fine. The front one is the problem correct.

I'm w/ Sharkster - went w/ H&R all the way - made a big difference and not that expensive. Also have PSS9s in the set-up too. Very nice on the street and made a big improvement on the track.

That damn geometry - was a pain in 8th grade too !!!
I think Racersgroup had some special drop links to buy to then use the GT2 bars on a tt - not sure about that, by the time you got all that stuff bought and strapped on it cost more money and probably weighed more too - IMHO.

I would still recommend the H&R for the tt - I have had to problems w/ quality or installation - heck Sharkster says OK and I think he's seen quite a few set ups.

BTW I did use the GT3 bars on my 2001 996 and that worked great - of course that is 2WD apples vs apples.

 

I have the GT3 front and rear SB with ScarGo curved front drop links. I get a bit of clanging up front when going over speed bumps. I believe to have them quiet, they need to be set on the loosest setting. I have no interest in the loosest setting. I like the car 'snug'.

H&R front and rear sway bars - Sharkey, how good are they? 3 setting vs. 5 on the GT3s? Can you snug up the front and the rears even more so and have a 100% clang free ride?

snug setting = understeer on turbos unlesss you have more than -2 neg camber. have you tried it? trust me you don't want it tight.
