Gt2 with Stage 1 or 2 vs 997 Turbo
I have both a 997 turbo and a gt2. I am thinking of selling one. The 997 turbo is faster but I was wondering what it would take mod wise to equal the feel/times of the 997 turbo? Would the stage 1 or stage 2 do it?
Thanks for the help

Is this the package I should be looking at? ? on some though.
K&N air filter
free flow exhaust with or without new headers?
re-mapping of the ECU
EVO Flow
billet divert valves?
Hose kit?
Thanks again

I have the following minimal engine modifications:
GIAC controller (hammer program) with stock, 91 and 100 octane programs.
Europipe stage II quiet
Diverter valves
BMC filter
My GT2 is substantially faster than stock and a 997 Turbo. I ran 30-100 against a buddy and repeatedly put him down by 2 to 6 car lengths (pending who launched first).
The 997 Turbo is certainly a better everyday car. But given you list of cars I would keep the GT2, long term it is a much better keeper than the 997 Turbo.

Woooh,
You have both car than you must know...
Just comparing numbers it seems the GT2 should be faster. I guess it depends a little on how you drive. Low end torque for sure speaks for the 997, the weight is certainly in favor of the GT2.
Was there ever a race recorded between the 2 cars?
GT2
3175lbs, 461hp @ 5.7k, 457lb @ 4500
997tt
3495lbs, 480hp @ 6k, 457lb @ 1950

The drivetrain loss on the 997tt is huge.

I'm surprised you are saying your 997TT is faster. Have you raced them head-to-head, or you judging it only by feel? The 997TT will 'feel' faster since it makes more torque earlier, but from a roll (as has been said), they should be very close..with the advantage going to the lighter, more efficient GT2.

At this point you would be ready for a stage 4 flash.
