great, helpful people (Mike Meyers, who didnt even try to **** my wife ), and especially Todd Zuccone who showed me around to some of
his projects like the twin turbo GT3 !!!! this one will be supercool!
Todd Z. and Todd K. have much mutual admiration for each other and their
respective accomplishments and it was cool to talk to Todd Z. about that!
What Todd has done with EVOMS as a brand and a leader in the US is nothing short of amazing. Congrats to him and his team.
Now the drag day: AWESOME. fun JoeRenntechV12 puts on an amazing event! There is one thing about Joe I could not help but notice...
He is about 5 inches taller than I and 100 + lbs bigger than I (I am 6-1,
185 lbs), so no more smarting off for me .
I can confirm that Todd Z.'s 997 TT was on the verge of cracking the 10
second barrier but just couldnt quite do it, and it is not for lack of driver,
He can launch that thing better than ANY magazine...consistent 1-6 to
1.7 60 ft. I have much video and have him at 11.03 and 11.07 and I know
there were a couple other 11.0X also.
DMK (Crazy young kid from Vegas) beautiful car, one of the nicest I have seen. The only thing not mentions and is no secret because it has been discussed and is on EVOMS website is he has nitrous cooling his I/C's.
(he can freeze those babies!). GT700 "+" with stock internals, all wheel drive, 17" drag radials, PCCB brakes, and a few other lightening tricks.
Very fast, once it gets rolling!: I have 10.95 @ 134 on video.
Joe (Joetwint) The quintessential selfmade guy from Brooklyn; a New Yorker's
New Yorker. This guy knows how to drag race!! His car is allwheel drive and
appears to be full weight + cage. The sound of the large GT30r's thru straight pipes is Intoxicating!! When his car comes up on boost just beyond
the 60 ft mark if he is not careful the tires go up in smoke and hits rev limiter
hard! This car really pulls hard and in my humble opinion has alot more in it.
this is a LOW 10 second car, easily!! I have 10.58 at 136.6 and saw his
10.55 run and he showed me the time slip as well. Him and his wife were
fun to meet.sidenote: (Joe and Don have Suzuki Hayabusa's which puts
them both in the certifyably insane catagory!...)
Big JoeRennV12 knows his GT2 well as well and I saw at least one 10.92 @
133.**, Very nicely done GT2, and oh his Hemi Charger is an absolute beast!
But best run of the day may go to the Mayor of 6speed...Mr. Luis F.
and his GT3 running a 12.4 !!! absolutey awesome.
I also met a gentleman named Markus who is as nice as they get and has
gorgeous White Gemballa GT650 996TT: You should have seen his face
when I pulled up alongside in my rental Caddy P.O.S. and asked him if he
was going to "the track" He is like WTF, how does this guy know that!!
LOL!!
thanks,
Marty K.
