I want to understand the facts as we know it:
VRAlex's Protomotive built motor (3.6 litre) did 862 Horsepower
@ 1.327 bar on Promo ENGINE dyno (crank horsepower).
Markskis Protomotive built motor (3.6 litre) with extra head/valve/other work
did 871 Rear Wheel Horsepower on a chassis dyno (with very poor
and inadequate fan cooling ) @ 1.5 bar.
Sidenote: Protomotive is currently in the process of installing a chassis dyno(new) in their shop which will see some very interesting Porsches hooked up
to it this winter/spring)
Markski, can any conclusions be drawn from this??

...although I will BET that Markski's car will lay down OVER 915rwhp at 1.5bar on a Dyno Dynamics dyno... He has GT3 cams (which have a much higher lift than the factory 996tt setup) and thus breathing more air per cycle which creates more hp per cycle...my car laid down 915rwhp at 1.5bar on a Dyno Dynamics dyno....Markski's engine is more efficient than mine, so he makes more hp at a lower boost level...with all that being said...I expect his car to lay down somewhere around 940-950rwhp at 1.5bar....he would only need 1.72bar to make the magic 1000rwhp mark....If his fuel system was able to keep up with the engine/turbos....my bet would be that at 2.2bar his car would lay down 1100rwhp`!!! Not bad for a daily driven 996tt that still has ABS/PSM/AIRBAGS and a stereo system.
Markski....can't wait to see some of the car video's that you will be staring in!
