What intrigues me with this 7,800 RPM redline is the enhanced potential in each gear. I'm sure most of you TT owners know about what speed you hit redline through at least the first 4 gears (and many of you all six, if the HP is there.)

Basic assumptions are: stock, or stock diameter rear tire (rollout is 78.66 in., not allowing for any centrifugal expansion at high speed), Std. ratios in 6-speed gearbox, and standard final drive ratio of 3.44:1. Also assuming the power is there to redline it in 6th.

At 7,800 RPM (all rounded to the nearest MPH)

1st = 44
2nd = 82
3rd = 120
4th = 151
5th = 184
6th = 225

Woo Hoo!

BTW, I plan to be a new inductee into the TT club after this weekend.
