Jerry has added one. One of the US models, 027. ex-Antinucci. Was in vacuum storage in Switzerland since 200 miles. And no, he didn't pay anywhere near $700k for the car. I believe it is at his place on 83d St. in NYC.
I'd rather have Dean G.'s car, which is a comfort model with updates. And new tires. And AC. ANd electirc windows. And adjustable suspension. ANd leather.

 

In the excellence article he stated his love for this car, he doesn't want the AC, Leather, Seats, Electronic suspension, he said he preferred the car bare bones.

 

That's if you beleive Excellence and they suck. See achives on my past posts.
Seinfeld likes low mileage vehicles usually the first and last of whatever. He had the chance to buy 905001. I suspect he paid in the $300K USD range.
I think the comfort models are much more desirable and that's what I had.

From what I understand there were only two non-comfort models ordered -- which would make them a bit more desirable in terms of collecting.

 

I could not agree more. This site is about our cars . lets keep it that way. BTW, had an opportunity to sit in one a couple of weeks ago and really just couldn't get over the excellent styling. This car exudes personality

The various owners in that Excellence article that have the 959 stated the sport is the version to own.

 

Mr. S can do with his money as he likes. There were thirty "S" models built and there are half a dozen or so 959s with a mix of both models. The green 959 that belonged to the (deceased) king of JOrdan had solid gold shifters and other add-ons. I don't know who they are referring to in the Excellence article because I don't read Excellence. I've driven several "S" models and for my money the Comfort is one I prefer. And with the engine performance upgrade. Decidedly we in the US don't get to experience a constant and consistent enjoyment of the differences between such cars because the condition of our roads and the speed limits prevent this. Imagine being able to commute from Montauk to Manhattan everyday at speeds of 100 to 150 mph.
I ramble. What is more interesting to me is how some of these cars get in. Ciao

 

I would take the 'S' version too....it's 200+ lbs lighter!!

 

I would be overly happy with either comfort or sport.
Jerry is a true P-car nut, more power to him.

 

Dean's 959 is one of the nicest examples you will find anywhere.

The best part is, he drives it all the time like he should!!!

 

Ditto that, I was so in awe of that 959 I didn't get a single decent shot of it. Simply stunning.

It's one thing when you see them flat bedded to a car show...it's another when you see it driven. It left me rather speechless when it pulled in...which I assure you, is a rarity in my case!

 

why would excellence lie about him liking the bare bones cars more then the comfort models? That is one of the dumbest things i've heard
