WOOHOO!!! I knew it was you! I was one of your daily readers for BOTH sites back then during the glory days of 3DFX and the startup days of NVidia!!! Things have never been the same since you exited the scene and up to this day, I still cherish my Canopus 3dFX SLI setup which still runs on my P166 which I keep for sentimental reasons

Oh man now the memories are flooding back! I still have some Obsidian double decker Voodoo1 boards somewhere Seriously, it's really nice to hear that sort of stuff. I remember those days pretty fondly and it was a real pleasure to keep all you tech-heads up-to-speed and entertained. I loved every minute of it. I guess it's natural to go from overclocking CPUs to Porsches eh?

 

The obisidian! that's like the CGT of them video cards back in the day. These days, things are so different - glad you're into modding Porsches, and I agree that its a natural progression, but I have yet to progress - still having too much fun with my M3

Was with my Porsche driving buddies just now and told them about you - they said if you ever have any speed mods for a 993 Turbo, 997S, 997 Turbo and a 997GT3 to post it up on the board asap so they can see it.

Yes that Obsidian was and still is possibly the craziest looking 3D card ever. Double decker. Big wing at the end of the PCB and so on...

Hey guys it was great dealing with you all and I'm down to just two black FE's and one white. For those of you that are doing your own installations we wrote up a quick guide to help you through it (very easy). Just be _sure_ to use the provided set screws. Do not use the ones from Safecraft that attach the shipping plate to the FE. Remove that and discard those screws and use the ones we give you instead
