I may be wrong about the door panels, I assumed they put it in since it was on the car when I got there. I'm deeply sorry. This wasn't meant to be a personal attack ( I know you took it as one) but lets be fair, maybe you didnt notice the part was scratched. Maybe I'm wrong and he deliberately scratched it when my back was turned, but thats not the point. You asked the dealer to perform free labor and install parts that were not provided by them. Things didn't work out and its too bad. Seriously, who would expect things to be done this way?
Oh, and by the way, stop cursing. I can see what a reasonable man you are by your response....and now it is personal.

I welcome anyone from SS who knows the facts and/or gives a crap about what is going on here to post and respond to my concerns/disappointments.

"This wasn't meant to be a personal attack ( I know you took it as one)..."
Maybe you didn't know it was your intent, but this is nothing but personal attack:
"If Silver Star can't satisfy you, I think maybe you guys need to buy someting else, perhaps a Yugo, OOPS sorry- TURBO Yugo."
Further, the entire structure of your reply along with the tone and sarcasm was also the sort of thing personal attacks are made of. Your delivery really sucks. If this is the delivery in the service dept, I can see why satisfaction could be an ellusive experience there.

It would be fun if an administrator would do an IP check on Tom and tell us who he really is.

This analogy is right on. If for instance the dealer removed the plastic upper center console during the dash removal, it obviously costs no more to install the same piece in CF. However, I think the mistake that was made here was asking S/S to install the CF pieces that were bought elsewhere.

I think you should write a letter to SS's owner, actually have your attorney write them a letter and threaten legal action.
Even if you go to small claims court, it will cost them a lot more $$ than it will cost you. Use the law as your weapon.
Then launch a full attack campaign against SS with PCNA. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I think all members of this board should boycott such an unethical dealership.
Based on the responses you have gotten here, I guarantee you SS will be very sorry they ever screwed you over.

Sixty-six replies and almost 1400 views in less than a day. It appears Silver Star Porsche reads this form. It would be in their best intersts to offer their side of the story.
I believe there is two Porsche dealerships who most of use would never use and if asked about would advise to stay away. If not handled properly, Silver Star could be heading down the same road.

"However, I think the mistake that was made here was asking S/S to install the CF pieces that were bought elsewhere."
The service dept makes (obnoxious) money on both labor and parts. I know a couple Porsche techs and they ALL bill in the neighborhood of 70 hours/week for 40 to 45 ACTUAL hours - at about a 33 to 50% increase in hourly rates from independent shops at that. So, SS is saying, we are not happy to merely rape you on labor, but also want to get our ludicrous 35% to 50% (+tax) more than you can get the parts for elsewhere? Geez, you'd think they'd be content to get the single orifice rape rather than no rape at all.

So will you be taking the CGT to Jiffy Lube for an oil change?

It costs about $6,000. for a Porsche dealership to remove a motor, replace the rods and reinstall the motor. Of course it doesn't include the cost of the rods and berings.
What makes you believe $900. is excessive for installing some carbon fiber parts under warranty. I would hate to see what happened if some wires were in the way.
