The one and only time a gave a (young) woman a ride

I gave one ride to a woman last summer (at a golf course) and the next time
I went there for dinner with my family (daughters included), she came up
in the shortest camoflage skirt I have ever seen and thanked me.

That took quite a while to explain/recover from.

In 1997 I bought one of the first Boxsters in the NYC area. One Saturday, driving up Broadway in Manhattan, this model-type (tall, waif-thin blonde)flags me down. It was an unusually warm day in February and I had the top down. She asked for a ride, so I drove her about a mile up the road, circled and dropped her off where I picked her up. We made some small talk- ends up she was a model who was actually pretty popular but I don't remember who she was. I was already serious with my then-girlfriend now-wife, but it was a pleasant experience to just talk to someone in such an off the cuff fashion. It was also cool to be - THE MAN. I had an extraordinarily beautiful woman in my car and I DIDN'T want to bang her (guess it saved me some rejection).

A month before, I had a guy on Wall St. offer me $60K on the spot for the car, which had cost me $39,980. Should've taken the damm money.
