they are available at www.Carnewal.com under Motor Tuning as an OEM porsche part + elsewhere I'm sure. They are not stock on a GT2. When installed on the car they appear exactly as stock. As Tom says they improve the MECHANICAL FEEL of the car, you will certainly know which part of the car the engine is in ( as opposed to just a loud drone from an exhaust ) Truly Marvellous

Hmm i was told that the GT2 engine mounts were hard and totally different from the turbos, resulting in the extra feel as well as the other additives (less weight and so on) if not, i will give it a try. Hard to imagine getting any more in tune with this car, its already soulful and raw, any more i think and it would be un-enjoyable :/

SlowMotion is infamous around these parts
I put the X73 mounts in (and the suspension), definitely removes some of the driveline squishiness from the car. They are subtle but nice... the seats vibrate a little now at idle. Overall I've loved the X73 package.

The x73 suspension with these mounts should be standard on every turbo from the factory. Much improved from stock. The install on the mounts is an extremely easy DIY.

No links but it's real simple. You just need to support the weight of the engine properly (floor jack), remove the stock mounts, 2 bolts 1 nut, and replace with the new. Took a few minutes.

Ok any update? Rich in older threads i read the GT2's mounts are 15mm lower and different than the turbo, is this still true?

This is a confusing subject, could someone please thaw my brain freeze?

Please recap: such as
option1 = X-73 engine mounts only (from whoever)
option2 = keep my mushy mounts and enjoy my wheelhop
etc, etc.
thanks in advance!

LOL this has never been such a damn confusing subject, i cant find any answers LOL!

What Motor/Tranny mounts come on the 996TT? Then the GT2? Is it at all worth to upgrade the GT2 mounts IF INDEED they are different then the 996TT's?

one you won't regret, according to all sources 996 TT and GT2 have exactly the same motor mount but the hard rubber mounts will work for all year 2000 Porsche Rear Enginned Sport cars onwards
