Glad you had fun and did not break anything. It is difficult to crack 12 with a six speed. I think your car is faster than the ET illustrates. Hard to launch, need to shift at least 3 times and you get a tiny bit of lag with a k24. You will certainly improve this time with practice. Did you change the wastegates? Many say it helps build boost quicker. I guess my 11.91 in a gay auto matic with only k16, full weight, and only an exhaust was not too bad. I have tuned my wastegate springs a fuzz and ported my headers and hope to get to the track in the spring. I will try to pull out the spare and run with maybee a 1/4 tank of fuel and see if 11.8? is in the cards. I also have some heavy rims and 235 and 315 PS2 tires on the car. I will admit that the auto is a no brainer to launch. I don't think I was brake boosting correctly though as my take off looked like it was fred flintstone style then woooosh. Good luck and enjoy that thing. The open road pulls will really show what it can do. Neil, give a brother a holler some time.

I don't recommend this method. But a car magazine I once read, said the rev the snot out of it and pop the clutch. They said they trusted in Porsche's engineering not to snap anything and rode out the wheel hop....

Neil,
On stock tires, I have mostly 1.83 to 1.89, 60 foot times. My lowest 60' time of 1.772 resulted in an 11.515 run (there is a video link in my signature). My worst 60' times were in the 1.9's and resulted in 11.9 type runs.
My limited experience (three 1/4 mile days) goes someting like this:
1.9 60' = 11.9's
high 1.8 60' = 11.8's
low 1.8 60' = 11.7's
high 1.7 60' = 11.5's
I think the ET, however, will vary with the HP and torque curve of the individual car - so I am not sure my results would hold true to all cars.

You were very close to the ET and you beat the trap, congrats you
have 1 run in the 11's which is pretty awesome. Very difficult car to launch.

I feel right now my most limiting factors are the wheels/tires, launch RPM and the clutch is costing me a couple MPH because it seems not to be able to handle the power completely. If I get in the low 1.8 or 1.7 60' times I'll be 11.4 or better with my current setup.
From listening to the guy who brought the stock turbo he said he was getting a split second of lag between shifts just like I was so I actually dont think there was all that much more lag in my car if any at all, but I did not drive both.
Now I'm starting to wonder what improvements I would get from doing the easy RWD conversion.

I was not trying to sound harsh either, we have all seen alot of folks try
(and you guys will get to see my first results this summer. I have only done
60-130 mph runs and my 10.96 was not exactly eyeball flattening!.
In talking with my local Viper club (who drag a couple times per year),
they have very few cars break 12 flat ???
Congrats!
