GL996TT is infamous around these parts
New Key program??? (DIY)

Just bought a new keyfob + blank key but the dealer wants to charge
me $150 for program the key.

Does anyone know am I able to program the new key by myself?

Not without a Porsche System Tester. $150 to program the key really sucks, it doesn't take that long. The keyhead and blank are already $200 or so. They kinda got you though, unless you have an independent shop nearby that has a tester.

My Stealer qouted 45mins @ $125 per hour, the service guy who actually did it says it takes 10 minutes.
