Kinesis K58R Wheels with Black Centers....

Here is a snapshot of my new wheels..well sort of.

I had the original high polished centers refinished in a Powdercoated High Polished Black Finish. IMHO...Absolutely Stunning on a Black Car! The bright red calipers truly stand out!

Click on my sig to see the pics.

Recommendation....If you get black centers, get the painted option. I was told that the black anodized option looks a bit strange over time. Apparently they show a greenish hue as they age and won't appear to be jet black...Just a head's up... :-)

Not sure if the above comment was intended for me...but these were powdercoated and not annodized. Powdercoating is more durable than annodizing and will never fade, etc. as mentioned.

To late for me and Shank... I want to see this for myself. I asked HRE about it and they said they age fine... If they fade or whatever we will just have to get the centers painted like Bill did... No biggie...

I am only going by what a dealer told me out in LA when I purchased my K58's. I wanted the black anodized, but they recommended I go with the standard grey anodized and for this particular wheel, looked best with Seal Grey. The owner has them on his seal grey turbo...Keep in mind these are Kinesis wheels, so that may not apply to other wheels companies like HRE....

Both companies send them out to get them anodized. Heck, they may even use the same anodizer....

I guess another solution would be to just let the black brake dust build up on the centers if they fade...
