Exhaust maturation?

I've got Cargraphic and about 8500 miles now. Last night while doing about 60-65 I noticed some resonance that necer was there before. Nothing above or below so just wondering from the experts if these things age, mature or just flat out change sounds as the age? TIA

I'm no expert, but maybe there is a loose connection at one of the fittings on the exhaust? Maybe worth a look below.

Most mufflers that use fiberglass packing will get louder as they age.

Thanks. I assume Cargraphics circa early 2002 used fiberglass? I'll have the mechanic check underneath when it goes in for spring oil change.

I have heard they get a bit louder with time. It would not hurt to check your bolts anyhow though. When I put my EP 2 quiet on I had to torque the bolts on the hanging straps several times. They were not finger loose but accepted additional tightening several times. I think the heat cycles create slack and then shrink when things cool down.

Totally agreed, it could get louder with age but also check the bolts. BTW its freezing out, im willing to bet your hearing a bit more noise everywhere because of that as well!
