Don't worry, the turbo engineers took that in to consideration. The first few cycles are done in the shop. It is a very soft material initially, and it hardens with heat. The break in procedure on the car is the curing process for the material. There are specific instructions to follow and it is very important to do so correctly.

BTW, my knowledge is from turbocharged rotary engines, but the function is the same. Kevin, please correct me if yours are different.
