http://www.ruf-automobile.de/content...hr=&details=14 -from the horse's mouth...look at the bottom right of that page - don't know if the weight difference would help the GT2 anywhere past that. It's not like we're ever going to find out right ?

apples to apples - the car in the Exc article is a 590 whereas your car, Adam's car (I believe), and my car (sort of ) are all 550 cars. But, it does mention the taller gear ratio is what helped them get up there. I'd be curious to know how they measured the Vmax. I now know from driving around with the Racelogic box in my car that my speedo is about 3mph fast.

209 mph on the speedometer or on a GPS? depending on your tires, the porsche speedo's can be off as much as 5%.

Martin,

Your car is purely limited by the gearing, so it would slam into the rev limiter at 205mph.

Mr Rufs 550 R turbo (MN RT 350) hit 217mph
That blue car is a 590(+) engine, and managed 221 on the GPS that ruf own, driven by H.P Lieb the ruf head tech and test pilot.

I was purely taking from the tacho, i know its not accurate but it felt pretty quick

Im back in the UK now, and have been driving at 70mph for 2 hours, and to be blunt, it stinks

best,
adam
