GT700 versus 1000 hp Porsche!
Just curioius It would be interesting to race a GT700 against one of the 1000 hp beasts. From a dig I would think the 700 would be ahead due to quicker spooling of the turbo's. Any guess at what mph the bigger turbo's would then kick in and overtake the 700? Would a 700 win from 0 to 100 mph?

I hate to speculate.... but just from my experience... ist really how good the driver is.... I can brake TQ the turbos fore some spool up.... thats if we are from the dig.... Or. if things go well, might have 2 step in my software... then watch out- 20 psi off the line...
I figure the gt700 might have a chance ... but I still think its the driver more then anything.....

Yeah, I am not questioning that the 1000 hp beasts would beat the 700 just wondering if from a dig to 100 mph if the 700 could be ahead? Obviously if you go from a roll and the 1000 hp monster is in the powerband forget about it!
bye bye

depending on if its a REAL 1000 hp powerband and not some spikey sh*t,like a car that has a broad tq and hp curve reaching 1000hp,drivers being equal it would be game over from the get go!Now a car that makes its 1000hp in the last 200 rpms would have some catching up to do at half track.JUST MY .02

I'm confident that my car, when complete, will not only have much faster 1/4 mile E.T.'s and Traps than my previous 10.6 setup, but will also have much faster 1/8th mile E.T's and traps. I think it will pretty much demolish my previous setup from a dig, or from a roll.

My cams finally returned from being hardwelded/reground this weekend, so Todd can finally start going 100% towards completion.
Not sure of an estimated completion date yet (we should know better in a week or so), but a buddy of mine who's a professional videographer is heading to Todd's place to compile video footage of the work on my car on the 20th, so the *hope* is that it'll be on the dyno for tuning by then. We'll see.

I think with the proper launch (IE lots of revs and clutch/drivetrain abuse) you can launch most turbo cars in their powerband. The question is would you want to in a TT.
Magazines regularly rev the TTs to redline and sidestep the clutch. Hence the 11.8x quarter in a stock X50. They said "trust the engineering" and ride out the wheel hop.
Scott, we are all impatiently the delivery of yout beast! Where is Alex's popcorn?
