Am I within the pricing on a 2001 996TT?
I have been trying to sell this car for the past month. The car is listed in the newspaper and so far not one call. Am I asking too much? Should I take it off the market and sell it in a few months? What are the prices at the auction?

Supple Leather
Return to 100% stock

KBB has it listed at $62,300 (trade in value)

Thanks for any input.

I would check on Ebay and look for the buy it now numbers, as well as checking Autotrader and some of the other sites. I checked these sites before I bought mine to figure out what the market was.
Prices are definitely down, but with spring coming, and the economy heating up a little bit we may see some stabilization in prices? I hope!

It's tax time people are waiting to see what they owe, leases are turn backs on showing up, I think your priced right just timing. If your not in a hurry to sell May/June you shouldn't have any problem getting $62K.
Good Luck!

I know of an '02 or '03 (can't remember which) with 9K miles in Milwaukee for $69K. They say they are firm on the price.

In other words at $59k would folks have called on the ad, but at $62k they don't?
newspaper ads are probably a poor way to reach enough people. These cars a nationwide commodities, or maybe coastal. You need to reach people within 1000 miles.
I'd go with the cars.com, autotrader, ebay... just be ready to weed out alot of annoyances.
I'm currently starting the purchase process, primarily trying to learn what I want, but just tracking cars on 3-4 venues,, and seeing what sells and how long things sit is quite interesting... also, at least in the BMW E39 M5 community, KBB is 5-6k over market... leads to much heartache in the end. You should look at a few pricing sources, and Mannheim (the latter just for a reality check- prices there are not truly reflective of well maintained cars with history!)
Good luck
Adam
