Q: Tequipment Roll Cage
#32
I would presonally find a chassis builder and get him to build a cage for you. That way he can make it fit tighter, look better, and its weld in so its a lot more structurally tough. I would never rely on a bolt in cage to keep me alive. Plus Chromoly is light, and a 6 point should cost you around 900 from most places.

I missed where the question was asked in this thread "what is the safest roll cage to put in my race car"?

Tom,
You are exactly right.
It depends on what the exact goal is in mind.
The techquipment bar works well looks great and is not known to be the
"highest" level of protection. The sixpoints sure look great and keep you planted. Nice guys!

This has been a very informative discussion on both roll cage and roll cage safety. All points are very valid and well taken. Hopefully, others will benefit from the experiences discussed here. +1 for 6speedonline.
BTW, I will be adding a fire extinguisher and increasing my life & disability insurance policies before hitting the track again.
