I thought Alex's car had it for that first shootout (non Protomotive car at the time) and after the shootout
Todd at Protomotive took it off ?? Sharkey I remember the cool videos of your car with the N02 fog coming off the intercoolers and hearing your big
turbos sing (at the drag strip).

I remember a turbo here in Houston that had n2o on it also. I looked at it when I was at the track with a friend one night. My brother watched it got a 115mph one pass then go a 124 or 125mph on the next pass. I don't know the guy, but it would be interesting to see what he had done to his.

I'm pretty sure Craig does not either.
If I'm not mistaken Chad(CJV) had it installed but bent the rods running NOS.
Please be careful...

First hand nitrous experience
I had it on my BMW and loved it. It did not use it often though. I ran a 75 wet shot and i worked great.
I would do the following:
1)Order a kit with very good solenoids. These are the most important thing and bad things happen when these fail.
2) Make sure your fuek system can support the extra work it will need to do. The involves proper tuning
3) get a window switch to control the RPM's
4) get a progressive nitrous controller if going over 75 shot
5) get a wide open throttle switch
6) Finally.....get one of those cool red flip up switches to arm the system. That was my favorite part.
as you know, a A/F gauge and fuel pressure gauge is not a bad idea either.

Ah yes I think this video shows it:

Funny thing here... I did it for two reasons: 1st it was much easier for me to get nitrous than C02 filled bottles and secondly it always made for an interesting topi of conversation for the races They always assumed I had nitrous and wanted me to "turn it off". So I did

okey, today I make first test with nitro....
here are results http://wirx.ee/porsche/quartermile/nos%20test1.jpg
this was first try(blue) vs my best start(red) some day ago(then was car lighter and tire pressure was lower)
I activate nitro centre of second gear
@ moment I use 50hp shot.
I think 8.33sec 60-130mph is pretty good result for 2001 996TT(3700lbs) with new chip, straight pipes, new DV, new clutch, new spark plugs and nitrous express kit(all together costed me about 5500usd)
Here are some pics too -

Nitrous/Fuel Injector just prior to throttle body.
Carbon fiber nitrous bottle, heater.
Automatic 0n/off valve, programmer, pill box (rpm on/rpm off).
Nitrous vents on either side of the license plate.
This system consists of electronic on/off switch, bottle heater, WOT accuator, fuel pressure shut off valve, clutch full engaugement accuator switch, computer programmer, rpm on/off (pill box). The system is set up for a 10 hot initial and an additional 10 shot every tenth of a second. It is set to come on at 2600 rpm and off at 4000 rpm in mode one. All it takes is fifty shot to spool turbo's to max. boost. Therefore on acceleration runs anything above a fifty shot is wasted. Mode two goes on in sixth gear, wot and starts at a 10 shot and adds an additional ten unit it hits a 150 shot. Top speed is the only place more than a 50 shot has much use.
This motor was set up for nitrous along with fuels utilizing nitro. It utilized ceramic coated combustion chambers, exhaust ports and valves in addition to berryilium liners and o-rings. The valve material is also designed for top fuel.
