Nitrous Express and 996TT

I know, plenty of U think NOS and 996TT isn't partners
But I need it only for some compeditions(like one mile challange and quarter mile) and for tuning shows too.
Because I bought P this year I don't want to give it away for months, to install new turbos(I plan to install new turbos(G28RS?) next year) etc.
So is this good deal http://www.prostreetonline.com/sku/20915-15.html I'm planning to install bottle to near rear window.
Mybe is there better Nitrous kits to choose? NOS?
Also is there are way to install two purge ports, which will end at both intercoolers(cooling)?
I'm planning to get about 60-80hp gain, is there something more that I must know in porsche(I have installed one nitrous express kit in my BMW 750)?
I have chiptuning, planing to install wideband air/fuel ratio gauge and thinking those bypass pipes http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release091004.htm (my 996tt is daily driver and I don't want lots of noise)

I like nitrous express overall. Hook it up to a window switch so it only engages at full throttle. I would guess you could go 150 wet shot on a 996. It would be cool to see a fogger on a Pcar.

Nitrous gets a bad rep because a lot of people have no idea what they are doing with it and then naturally bad things happen. Its one of the easiest ways to safely add power when done right. I saw you want it for show too, please don't get 2 huge bottles and do it Fast and the Furious style

150 wet shot's pretty aggressive on a 3.6L Turbo IMHO. I would start with 50 shot and go 100 Max. Ofcourse use a WOT switch so it only comes on at wide-open throttle, and use a MSD window switch so it only engages between 3000 and 6000 RPM for added safety. I had the TNT 100 wet shot on my C5 and it worked great. I don't know too much about using nitrous on turbo'd cars, but I would think dry shot would be safer, no?

Man I've thought about it a million times but not sure if I want to risk anything with it. No I'm not a newbie to nitrous, lol.
Older shot of my Camaro under the hood

A dry shot would not be a good idea, you are going to end up leaning out the engine. As for it being to aggressive, I use to run 150 wet shot on my old Talon 2L 4 banger. If its done right with a multiport fogger (wet) it will hold it.

I think this 40-50hp gain isn't worth killing (maybe) engine
My bmw 750 has 200hp gain in 5.4L engine and still running, but V12 cost mybe 1000$, 996TT engine cost about 15000$ if used...
Monday I will order Nitrous Exress kit...and about june post some 1/4 mile times here
Oh yes...here is my V12 with nitrous and GAS(LPG)

Funny thing is that, if my somebody sees BMW V12, almoust always comes out word: WOUUU.....but in TT....almoust everybody can't belive that motor can be so small

How much nitrous are you putting on it. Are you using a stock tune also or does your tune allow for n2o?

I run nitrous with my supercharged S2000.

My recommendation (if you want it done) is to go with a wet kit - 75 shot max with an rpm window controller. Nitrous Express would be my preference. Don't run a dry kit unless you have a way to reprogram the ECU or run a piggy back fuel controller.

I had the zex wet kit and the nitrous soleniod got stuck open

Make sure you have a remote bottle opener/closer to be able to quickly kill nitrous in case of emergency.

Here's some pics of my setup http://www.rturbo550.com/S2000/s2000.html

I also ran a purge kit into my aftercooler radiator to help the supercharger lower intake temps.

BTW, I dynoed my s2000 with Nitrous and the AFR is MUCH better with nitrous than without due to the added fuel (see dyno plot once you click on the link above.) You definately want to dyno to make sure your AFR are within safe limits.

BTW, I only use nitrous when I run 100 octane and switch to copper plugs. Copper plugs give you a larger spark but you'll have to change them often -- not a quick job on a TT.

KPG saw and talked to a gentleman that runs nitrous on a 997TT.
PM KPG for details. He saw some quarter mile runs in the 10's on a otherwise
stock 997TT.
