I ran some 6th gear pulls tonight. The K24s produce the full 1.2 BAR by 3000-3100 RPM. However, boost response isn't as impressive in the lower gears since the engine revs much quicker.

Opinions?

Any way around it?
I'm sure there are a few, and maybe others will offer their own solutions, but on my 993TT I simply ran an extension on the "post cat" sensor. Basically it moves the sensor slightly out of the direct exhaust flow enough that it won;t throw a CEL. Worked flawlessly on my 993TT, and I have no reason to belive it wouldn't work on a 996.

You can get the extension at almost any auto parts store. They are typically used for extending spark plugs out of the cylinder head to avoid fouling.
