Durametric ECU Readings

Just got the Durametric and it appears that there are several parameters being monitored by the ECU, at least as the Durametric software is concerned. The list is rather extensive. I checked with Durametric and they can not provide definitions of what is being measured, they simply report the values. Does anyone know where I can find more information on the various measurements? Some are easy, RPM for example, but what is the difference between RPM and Spec RPM as monitored by the ECU? Just want a reference of some sort. Here's a complete list in case anyone is curious:

Wow, thanks for all the info!!

Geez i so want to get one !

Hmm can we change certain stuff ?

any examples ?

like make the engine run 10C coolder ? etc ?

Don't think you can change anything. The program, while in data logging mode, simply conveys what the ECU is measuring.

Any one else? Do any of the "boost" measurements toward the bottom of the list have anything to do with Turbo Boost? Is there a reference in a Porsche repair manual that I can look up?

TIA,

Alex

Will the Durametric datalog and/or read real time all the listed variables?

It will, but it should not be used as a substitute for a true data logger. Apparently the ECU reduces the sample rate as the RPM increase, particularly on less critical functions.

It's issues such as these that I would like to get more information on as well.

Any luck with this Alex? I can't find any info on these parameters either.

Gave up on this. No one seems to know. But let me know if you find something out-I am still interested.

Alex-
I tune these ecu's for a living...most of the list makes sense to me.

Shoot me a PM with a few that you are particularly interested in and I most likely can help you out.

There are changes to certain parameters that increase power and there are other changes that really don't do much, just look good on paper. Keep in mind most of Porsche's settings are for perfect from the factory, their tuning just needs to be conservative due to emissions. This means by simply tweaking the timing and a/f's power can be made.

I worked for Powerchip for about a year and will be glad to answer any further tuning questions you may have.
