First off; sorry for the bad camera work, I'm only an amature.

The 996 is my buddy Peter's car. It'll be going down to Protomotive very soon for the VRalexander treatment. Right now all it has is a Proto flash.

The 997 is owned by a friend, Turbodickie, here on the forum.

The 996 did well, but the little K16's simply ran out of steam at higher speeds.

I thought the 997 would get the jump due to it's torque down low...but at higher speeds, the VTG's were in "flight" mode

Also, there were 2 people in the 996TT. Not sure if that made much of a difference or not.

Yep, that's him. He sold the M a few months back and went to the dark side (or the light side, depending on who you ask).

What kind of #'s is the 996 pulling with the Protomotive magic?

interesting, i wonder how much an exhaust would have helped the 996?

Not really sure, Silver.

Though I think with the addition of an exhaust the cars would be even.

I think losing the passenger in the 996 might have done it as well.

Agree the added spool and HP from a less restrictive exhaust will help. Also, the extra weight (150-180 is 5% penalty) will also make a difference in acceleration. It would have been interesting to do a run with the camera guy in the 997.

That's right, if you put the camera guy in the other car say 480HP car, you change the equation by 48hp.
