Now here is the crank for strength to 10,000+ rpm's. The journals have been reconfigured to 2.0" to fit NASCAR Oval bearings.

And the rods.

Sorry for my ignorance, but could you elaborate on the oval bearings?
Thanks!

During constant high rpm operation round bearings distort leading to oil issues. NASCAR series developed an oval bearing that under high rpm's, provides a near perfect circle around the crank journal. The reduced bearing size also drops recipicating weight off the crank along with reducing the diameter providing less friction surface.

Chad, I understand that at high RPMs you will have a near perfect round bearing. So that means that most of the time you are driving the bearings will not be perfectly round. Do you think this will lead to shorter engine life?
