Markski,

Did your axles break right at the line or some distance out?

I wonder if at the hit of the throttle as the car squats it cv's go into a bind and snap the splines. Or is it possible that it squats so much as to jam up the spline joint, ie, run out of travel, (needs longer splines). It would be interesting to limit the compression of the rear struts (not as much squat) and see if it would hold. Or perhaps limit the rear suspention to a "no bind" area with stops at the 2 ends of the travel limit. Heck you could even try a rigid rear set up and launch it to see if thats the problem.

Yes they are. I wonder if this is one of the reasons they ran the trans "upside down" in the 935's ?? to take pressure off the axel's.

No to Hijack the thread but to share our pain.....

We broke them at the line, we broke them at the middle, we broke them at the end we broke and broke again, over 12 sets of them, we broke about 6 of them shifting from 1er to 2nd, we broke 4 sets of custom ones and the list was endless. don't even ask about the clutches......

I then made my own and we play with the coil overs and the high of the car, so far we got over 20 passes, more than ever, including a few weeks ago an 11.2 and a 10.80 pass at "Pinks all Out" so far so good.

Here is what happens to the 1 3/4 shaft in the old drag boat when you drop 2000+ hp to it. This is the point where we changed shafts, note the nice twist......about 7 passes...

Absolutely right. I Said that on page 2, it is geometry related, not torque related (only). Also, Mark, as I had mentioned to you earlier, I am convinced that your rear springs are way too stiff IMO for this sort of fun.
