I would also highly recomend Stephen. I have gotten to know Stephen over the last few months and have tremendous respect for his integrity as a businesman. He also knows how to build an engine, that is for sure.

A motor should be dry assembled then taken apart, measured, adjusted and reassembled. This is the only way to build a motor. Period. FWIW this is called Blue printing.
Exactly! I'd have Stephen build my motor! Any man who stands by their motors with a warranty knows exactly what to do!

ty! Everytime I see a M3 I check to see if its a younger person driving. My buddies mom has the Phoenix Yellow one you may see around the area every so often. It's either him or her driving. Hate the color, but the car itself is fun as hell!

as I understand it, a proper port and polish job would increase the efficiency of the engine's "breathing"... so in theory A/F's would change, necessitating reprogramming of the ECU.

this is partly why custom jobbies like what Markski has are so labor intensive, because the fuel and ignition maps have to be done specifically for each car.

but you know the saying... all good things take time

If you are going to port the heads and do larger valves you will probably also be doing the fuel lines, pumps and injectors. The money consumed never stops.

Thumbs up

Rob,

their are (4) cars currently being built with extensive head work:
Markski's: Appears to breathe pretty well...
Divexxtremes: I saw his new cams and saw his heads (before porting)
Divexxtremes next door neighbor (name?): is getting some MAJOR headwork.
CJV: Has done ALOT of research and last time I heard his heads were at the same place as all the others listed above: (Protomotive)
Their difference is simple (all work under one roof: port/polish/modify/build/tune) in the same building.
Other great choices as well, ie, The Doctor in KC, EVOMS in AZ,
UMW in Washington.
Everybody does it a little different with different results:
Look at Ohio GT2's numbers Without Headwork; Holy Crapola!!

It is great to have all of these great choices!

Marty K.
