Not sure how long my TT has been doing this for, but I've noticed that once the engine is fully warmed up the oil pressure at idle is about 1.5, used to be about 1.8.

More worringly when cruising at say 60-65mph in fifth or sixth the oil pressure is at typically 3 but sometime flicks down to 2.5 or 2 for a split second. This is on a straight road, smooth road.

I checked the oil level and it was 2 bars down from full - I don't think topping off the oil will help, but will do it anyway.

Is this fluctuating oil pressure normal ? Is my idle oil pressure ok ? Should I be concerned.
Running Mobil 1 0-40 and have about 4800 miles.

 

Hi. I wouldn't worry about it. Warm oil flows better, easier than
cold oil, so you will see lower pressure for warm oil. Oil
pressure also varies with RPMs. Inherently thicker oil will
also require higher pressures than thinner oil. High oil
pressure isn't completely desirable. Have you ever changed
the oil?
The car will turn on warning lights if the pressure gets anything
like too low.
