I think Cargraohics will look great especially on a black car and i think they are also lighter than the Techarts.

Lou,

Techarts all the way! TA seems a lot more clean while the Cargraphics are pretty busy looking.

Put Cargraphics on the drivers side. Then Techarts on the passenger side. ANy potholes arise, swirve left.

Thanks guys. Keep the opinions coming, seems to be pretty split right now with the comments. My only fear with the TA is the "plain" stock look which I do not know if I want. With the Cargraphics, seems played out a little. I dunno, I still love the HRE 542R, however, the inherent weak lip will do me no good on Chicago streets. I even heard that HRE couldn't pass TUV approval because of the weak lip and high speed stability issues?? Anyway, keep the comments coming.

Stephen- Which wheels do you prefer? ROH has QC problems big time or I would have opted for those.

Lou,

You do realize that this thread is going to go on and on and on, with others posting their opinions of other wheel options, etc. It's always a never ending type of post and will probably confuse you even more.

Wheels are such a personal preference and will be impossible to please everyone. Just go with what you like best and not what everyone else wants to see. Hell, if you like the Ghetto Daisy Flower wheels...go for it!

With that said....my vote is for the Techarts (look great, strong and very little maintenance). The cargraphics are nice but like HRES will bend on your chicago streets (especially with 19s) and are just just too much of a PITA to clean and keep clean.

Good Luck!

I say techart. They have a clean line. the cargraphic are too busy for my taste on a turbo, particularly if your car has any added aero or external mods. The cargraphic looks better on C2 and C4.

I would get the HRE C-series.... http://www.wheelexperts.com/wheels/hre/line.html#comp

but out of the two choices, I voted techart

Has anyone got pix of the Techarts with the SIDES of the spokes painted black? Not the entire spoke, but only the sides... it's in one of the By Design mag ads. Lou, if you are partial to the Techarts, but want something that stands out from the average, you may want to see if you'd like these. I'll see if I can dig up a pix later on. Shank usually has a huge database of pix... check with him.

They are both very nice but I'm a five-spoke fan and the Techarts are sweet. Here's KParis' Techart TT:

I really like the 19" Techart Formulas, BUT realize that the rear wheel offset is so aggressive the outside edge of the wheel rim will line up with the outside of the wheelwell (factory alignment), and if you run Conti's the tires will stick out past the car... unless you do an agressive alignment, and then you may burn through tires in 3,000 miles or less. If you lower the car, with Conti's you will need to roll the front and rear fenders. All serious considerations.

I know less than nothing about the other wheel.

If I roll the fenders, won't the rear wheel be pushed in further?
