Those that have either not installed a quality suspension, or failed to have their existing suspension set up by a pro...are the ones who's cars exhibit strange handling characteristics after the RWD conversion is complete.
And yes...I've driven a GT2.

Be sure to let us know how you like the LSD, Tom.

I have had great seat time in both stock for stock, and both modded to modded, my 996TT had no sunroof as well, sways, h+r coilovers you name it, plus RWD and it still felt way different from even a stock GT2.
Most people who say otherwise probably havent experienced them firsthand, the weight and feel of the steering wheel, turn in and so on, they just feel very different.. I believe a big attribution to the feel (besides weight and through the corners with acceleration) is the lack of the LSD in the 996TT, now with adding one and everything else to a 996TT i cannot comment on how it would stack up against a GT2, i believe that's a huge contribution in feel as well has lighter weight throughout the car!

BTW when i mention FEEL, as in they still felt totally different, this doesnt necessarily mean one handled better then the other, i mean i havent tested both back to back on a skidpad or anything, it was just from seat of the pants "feel" , so its kind of a moot point overall!

I have no doubt your modded GT2 with a Moton suspension feels different/better than a stock GT2 and my car. I've driven a bone stock GT2...and it feels identical to my car.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Martin....but isn't your car running a Moton suspension? If so...you can't possibly compare a stock GT2 suspension to your car.

And Scott yes i have Moton's.. But like i said, i had track time in my stock 996tt and then with suspension setup, lots of street driving too. My fully setup turbo compared to a stock GT2 still felt a bit different, not as nimble feeling or crisp, but the turbo was on rails and never budged, that's why its hard to go based off feel, i mean for all i know on a skidpad it could have pulled better gforces in the turns, BUT as for driver input and feel the GT2 i liked more!
What i was comparing was stock 996TT to stock GT2, 996TT with coilovers, sways, fully setup to stock GT2, even my GT2 now makes a stock GT2 feel heavy, the Moton's are insane once you get them done right, feels like a bigger Lotus Exige, no joke!
As for your car versus a stock GT2 i do not doubt it one bit that they feel similar, except for the extra road noise and so on in the GT2, i was in Tom's X50 with just JIC's and loved the way the car felt, much better then my H+R's! Its very hard to make a general statement in any case because i havent tested a turbo with each suspension, but same goes for anyone else who hasent, and especially who havent even driven a GT2! (Not in regards to you)

So, I need a rear sway bar added along with what I am having done in order to get it right?
Also, does anyone haves recommended settings for alignment and ride height? I told the shop to shoot for GT2 ride height and do a moderate street-setup for alignment.
