Yes, I am interested.. hmmm very interested in doing the GT 800 kit. If I was not interested why would I go through all of this. I quess I should be more assertive but when I say that I want to buy a GT 800 kit what else should I say?? I love my GT700 kit but unfortunately it will not run with the big boys!!! What I usually do is run my car with other HPD from 50 or 60 mph up to ??? I hope this clarifies the issue.

In summation, how much do I have to pay to upgrade my kit?? I think I have everything except the turbos and the new ecu???

did you not see my post of what is needed for the gt800 kit. You need alot more than a ecu upgrade and turbo's

In order to keep up with the insatiable appetite of 996TT owners for more and more power, EVOMS has been supplementing and tweaking the GT800 and above systems well beyond what was originally included. The fuel system, for example, is far more comprehensive than when the GT800 was first introduced. Likewise, the internal engine upgrades have been expanded to improve the structural integrity of the motor. Suffice it to say that the current GT800 system is far more comprehensive than both the GT700 package and the original GT800.

Evoms is generally known for there off the shelf kits, so no not custom.

I agree with the first half of your statement, but respectfully disagree with the second half. In contrast to Protomotive which specializes in one-off custom set-ups, EVOMS is certainly better known for its off-the-shelf packages (the GT700 in particular). Nevertheless, EVOMS offers custom set-ups as well. Recall their 1000 hp TT GT3 with water cooled ICs -- it doesn't get any more custom than that. Likewise, Joe's setup and my set-up are both custom (although many of our components are offered in the GT800 package). EVOMS will also customize GT700 cars (several of the GT700 cars have much more than simply the standard list of components).

i think he should upgrade his turbos and ecu... like i am trying to do!!! i think that is the biggest bang for the buck

Upgraded turbos are of little value without the necessary supporting components. The system will only be as good as the weakest link / most restrictive element. You can strap on GT42R turbos, but if you cannot supply the fuel required for the additional volume of air generated by the larger turbos, the turbos are no good to you. If you are going to go with larger turbos, you must ensure that your fuel system and air path are up to the task. With regard to the fuel system, you must have an adequate injector, pump, rails, lines, regulator, etc. The OEM pump, injectors and lines are not adequate for larger turbos. Moreover, I do not think the fuel system designed for the GT700 turbos is adequate for the larger GT800 turbos. With regard to the air path, you must ensure that every pipe between the airbox and the engine is sufficient, including between the box and the turbos, the ICs, the Y-Pipe, the TBs, the intake plenum, etc.

Yes, the turbos are what make the power, but without the necessary supporting cast of components, the turbos will not be able to accomplish their power making function. You need enough fuel to keep pace with the turbos, and you need to get the additional air to and from the turbos without restriction.
