- Pioneer Z1 Head Unit ($1,400 is this the best?)
- Mb Quart Speakers, Subs, Amp ($2000 advice appreciated weight & sound quality important)
- Performance Tuning is the ($14,000 Is Evom Stage 4 Overkill?)

Keep in mind that if you buy the GT2, you don't have to purchase suspension, wing, or bumper, turbos or intercoolers (if you are only after 600 HP).
All you'd need (based off of your list) is software, exhaust, wheels and stereo equipment. Done.

To tell you the truth, unless you're planning to spend a lot of time at Castle Coombe you'll never really get to use the GT2 for what it was made for around these parts. The TT, once adequately modded, will probably serve your purposes nicely, be more livable on a daily basis, and be faster than anything else around.
I wouldn't reccomend lowering if you live in London because of all of the massive speed bumps around. The Euro-spec height with aerokit on my car gives me no room to spare.
You'll also get a lot of opinions on best exhaust. To me, best = best flow, most power potential. I don't care about any supposed "drone". I'm having a bad-*** custom one made by Hayward & Scott at an extremely competitive price. If you'd like to hear/see it once you get your ride, just shoot me a PM. Should be ready in 3 weeks.
As far as camera/radar detectors go, the OriginB2 unit is probably the best. GPS, radar, and laser detection, plus an optional blinder (oops, I mean parking assist). It's saved my *** more than a few times so far.
Good luck in your search.

I would instantly say the turbo if you are on the brink between the two...the GT2 really shoudnt even be much of a thought unless you plan on tracking the car fairly heavily and have the necessary skills that the GT2 requires to really be driven...and when someone wants a GT2...they WANT a GT2...know what I mean?
people have lots of thoughts about cars...and there is my .02...

that the 2005 TTS was a 996, I thought all 2005's would be 997s,
hence the following.....
