Ques about gt3 seats and seatbelts
I just installed my gt3 seats and have a few of questions. My seats came with a rectangular metal piece where the seat belt buckle attaches. There is one on each side with a sleeve thru it and bolt in the end. Im using the regular seatbelts so it seems unneccesary. Maybe its for a 5 point harness? IDK. They kinda rattle around.
Also, on the buckle side is there any trick to getting the recepticle to stay put and not fall down?
What have most of you done regarding the position on the belt and buckle? I have my belt just thru the top shoulder hole and not the bottoms.
Lastly, what is the best way to get in and out so as not to damage the seats?
Thx

GT-3 seats
The bolts that with the shoulders you describe are for mounting Porsche or Schroth seat belts specifically for GT-3 seats. If you just use the factory stock belts then you can just unscrew the ones that are not used. I had a 996 GT-3 and when using the stock belts I just looped them over the outside of the seat across my body. Some people run the belts through the holes in the seat. You will need to unbolt the seat belt from the floor mount and run it throuh the seat holes. As far as getting out of the seat, not a graceful thing. You can shift forward in the seat, lift yourself up by holding on to the steering wheel, put your left foot out onto the ground and step up and out. Moving the seat to the rearmost position will help.

when getting in just stick your right foot in and support your weight with your left arm on the bottom of the door jam and lift yourself in over the seat bolster...get out the same way...left foot out, support weight with left arm at bottom of jam and step out...if you are over 180pds this might not work for you...
