how would a 650hp gt2 stack up to a 1000hp viper ?

I think given the relative frontal area and superior horsepower the Viper would win in a race to 200mph. The aero drag above 120mph is alot to overcome. The aero drag over 150mph is even more. Drag increases with the square of speed and the aero on your GT2 is better than the Viper but probably not enough to overcome the huge power advantage if the Viper really does have 890whp. I agree with MARKSKI you probably need closer to 700whp to make it a straight fight. If you run the quarter mile instead of to 200mph the outcome may be more in your favor.

hmmmm
i would think that in a 1/4 mile run , the torque of the dodge would over take the gt2, and that in the long run, the hp alone would not be enough to overcome the drag created by the viper...
i would love to set up a race, but his car is always in the shop because something always brakes down

I know of a tt with 590 rwhp that spanked a 900 rwhp Supra. but the P car driver is very experienced street racer. it also depends on the on the type of race u pick..

I have 590 whp and I can tell you that in a straight line race there is no way to beat a 890 whp Viper. Traction problems will make it competative at lower speeds and yes, the overall superiority of design and efficiency etc. makes my car competative w Vipers and Supras w/ less than 700 to the wheels, but 200 plus more whp is too much to make up.

When my foot gets better I'll run him.. As I mentioned a while ago on 6speed from my experiences, my friend Dimitrios with his sc'd RT10 at 738 rwhp and 789 rwtq pulled my awd turbo by a cl to 160 on video, that he would never post online LOL... He's a regular over in the tri-state viperclub section for those who don't believe it, they don't run as hard as the numbers show!

marski, i would like to set up a race from a dead stop, straight line, ***** out ....
dr jitsu, with all due respect, wouldn't your car make a bit more HP at the wheels? i thought GT30s were good for well over 600whp,
not trying to be a jerk, but its a genuine question

I think Joe (in Mexico) TwinT would kill this Viper IF it is a SuperCharged
Dynoed 900 HP in a state of tune that is hard to carry out on the street
day to day. Your our guy Joe, make us proud!!
