Who was his camera man -Michael J Fox. Did the driver have a matching beaded set cover to match the beads handing from the rearview mirror. The suede dash cover was nice though. Note to self: buy cheap *** white stick on letters as Pep Boys and post the make believe land speed record of the car in the rear window.

I'm supposedly running a single 101mm turbo GTS in a couple weeks....He did a bit over 1000 to the tire on pump, so we'll see how bad he pulls me. My guess from a 40 -150 roll he should get me by 4 cars, but we'll see.

Jamie,

I will be keeping close track of your car. If it doesn't blow in the next 6 months I am going to get your fuel set up.

Your EBC keeps your torque at or below 640, yes? The theory of the full Proto 700, as I understand it is that the EBC regulates the torque. On race file the hp is up around 700 at the wheels and the race gas ensures against detonation. However at that power level it is the torque that will cause rod failure and the EBC will pull boost and prevent the torque from going above 640, right?

No, a manual/electronic boost controller does not regulate lower boost unless I tell it to. I run the car 100% of the time on race gas and 90% of the time at 1.5 bar which is right around 700 to the tires (both tq and hp). There are just too many variables in driving styles, conditions, etc. to state a magic tq/hp number that will keep a stock motor together....the car is tuned perfectly safely, but that doesn't mean the strength of the internals can handle the load. Time will tell as to how long it lasts....

Jamie,

Interesting....so you never run pump...we get decent 93 here in Texas. I figured that you were on pump the time you dynoed 644 and race gas when you did 715. Of course so many variables can affect dyno numbers that my assumption may be invalid. Nick (Supra) and I will be running again for bragging rights and I definately will need the race file.

I believe that Todd will give me a race gas file and a pump file. I often take my car on pleasure drives where I just put around for the bling factor and hence don't always need to pay 7 bucks a gallon for gas.

RCNJ is infamous around these parts
With the boost controller you can set your low for pump and high for race.
I run 1.2 on 93 and 1.4 on 104.

STOCK suspension and drag radials.

i want to shut him up and explain to him that horsepower isnt everything, and that aerodynamics and suspension are also key

if ANYONE is up for the challege PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know because i really want to see a gt2 rip the doors off his car
uhh... Vipers don't weigh 4000lbs. Sorry. 3400ish is much more realistic.

And the suspension is actually very good on those cars, wherever this whole 'vipers don't handle' b/s comes from i'll never know, and they are fairly slippery too.

650hp GT2 vs 900rwhp Viper.. that gt2 is going to get the ghetto *** whoopin of its life. Just be glad it's a SC which can be a little hard to drive. A turbo car is sooo smooth they just hook and go.

Ohio-- So you're racing Joe with the blue/white GTS? Get some video, that should be an interesting race. His car is laaaaagy so you're best bet is to get the hit on him and make him run you down, but be ready for it to go by you with HUGE speed.

Wait a minute, wait a minute...Vicious thinks that a Viper will beat a GT2?

NO WAY...one of those ****s must have kicked back!

By the way, I hear that the occupation of **** kicker is now being outsourced, true?

A SC viper, yeah it will. They aren't immune to being beaten as was proven in the Alex v Darius race, but to line up a 650hp car with a 900rwhp car is a bit silly imo.

Yep, that's him. He doesn't have many friends but that's ok, it's just a race. What's the worse 2nd/3rd gear speed for a TT Viper to roll from?
