K16 Hybrids...

Hi all,

Is there anyone here who runs (or knows of anyone else who does) K16 Hybrids, with the newer Mitsubishi 16G compressor wheels?

I'd like to get some impressions on how they perform.

I'm considering a pair of K16/24's or a pair of K16/16G's. I'm leaning more towards the 16G's because they are newer in design, can flow more and are rated at ~35lb/min.

We run k24/18gs... and even have one K24/20g with 720 rwhp at 1.8 bars.
k24/18gs produce 500 to 600 rwhp depending on the set up....

Nice numbers indeed!

The reason I enquire about the K16/16G's is because I want to use these on my 3.3L motor. I run a Protomotive MAP ECU, GT2 CAMs and will soon make the jump to TT territory, but I'm really looking for great street setup as my car is a daily driver. I run ~1.25-1.3bar and I'm aiming for 600HP at the crank. I believe the 16G's will get me there, butmight take a bit more boost with the K16 turbines. We'll see.

I just wanted to know what the response was like, that's all

The super 60's have a small diameter wheel and so come on boost quickly. That's what I'd run. Be sure to ask Todd if they'll work w/ the k16 instead of the k24 though.

Yeh Todd said either the 16G or Super 60's would work fine. He usually does the 16G's though. They are rated at 1lb/min less airflow compared to the S60's, but are a newer design.
