The part where a bone stock ZO6 on drag radials ran 10.85 at 129.50

If being a dick on the internet is your idea of being a good judge of character then yes indeed you are the big winner.

Comon man, there has to be a line drawn on the mag racing. I hope you at least spend some time on the track or racing something at all because running round quoting magazines is despicable IMO.

The vette keeps up with the 997 GT3 on track because it's lighter and has lots more hp and torque, not too complicated.

You can go just as fast as a Porsche in a Vette but so can the other 17k people that have one, a porsche is about exclusivity, class, performance, durability and refinement all wrapped up into one. The vette has one of those down pack, I'll let you guess which one, it's somewhat refined but the others it falls quite a bit short. But for the money, it's worth it to many.

I agree most Porsches cost too much (I.E. Turbo, GT2, most of the carreras) brand new but I'd still take a used one for durability over a new Z06.

If you had the absolutely fastest car on the track and you could really exploit it that would be something but I have seen you and you aren't that guy.

I am sure there is some point in time where all the stars align and you beat everybody in everything (ala allanlambo) but a bit of skepticism is what makes it interesting

It's wonderful that you live vicariously through the achievements of others, that's very commendable. You like to talk about what you've seen, heard or read about. All I have talked about is what I've done. I have beaten every Z06 that I have run against, modded or not...PERIOD. I'm not going to sit here and argue semantics with you. You know how to find me, why don't you get you hands back on that z06 and prove me wrong?

I'm done, but I will say if I chose to buy a ZO6 it would put a smile on my face knowing it was nearly as fast as a seriously modded and very expensive GT2.

Half price and $30 dollar oil changes to be within an as hair of your car and you are unimpressed?

Just a FYI....you can buy a new EVO and modify it to easily beat both a Z06 and a GT2 around a track or in a straight line for about $35k less than a new Z06 costs.

Does that make it better than the Z06? Something to think about.

That guy is basically a pro driver, and the track conditions where the air dentsity is -80 you better be ripping off some good times and speeds. Did you know it took him 52 passes to get the one!!! You can't just take one example and use that as a standrad way to messure performance. The stock c6z06's here can't get any where close to that number and I'm sure that's a safe bet anywhere else.

Agree. No one has come close to Ranger's time with a stock Z06. He's a incredible driver. He not only holds the record for a stock C6 Z06 on both standard street tires and drag radials, he also holds the long standing record for a stock C5 Z06 on both standard street tires and drag radials.
