Help with Value of '03 996TT X50 with High Miles...
I'm helping someone locate a specific 996TT and their criteria is an '03 X50 with under 20k miles. We've found an '03 X50 out here locally in Black with 41k miles, 6-speed, sport seats, and PCCB Brakes. He loves the color combo and options; however, the miles are really detering him.
What price should he offer for this X50 Turbo with such high miles--or at what price does this Turbo become a good enough value to warrant pursuing in light of the high mileage?
Thanks in advance for any input...
Daniel

I was thinking high '70s, but here is one on ebay that sounds very similar to the one you are looking at. They want mid 60's. Its disgusting how much this car has depreciated. I have an '03 X50 and the msrp was over 140K. Good luck

The one we are looking at is priced similarly and has also been advertised for quite some time.
It definitely seems like these cars don't sell well with high mileage on them...

2003 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe
Above Average: $70,911 - Mileage: 13,222
Average: $65,300 - Mileage: 26,443
Below Average: $59,689 - Mileage: 39,665
Total Sold: 14
The X50 adds only a few thousand....
I am curious as to what the issue is with the car in the ebay link... do tell.
Thx

might want to try to carfax it, or provide the VIN so someone on here can carfax it for you. Even a clean carfax doesn't mean it's perfect and accident free, just hadn't been reported. But if something does show up on Carfax it'd be nice to know.

70k would be a great deal for an 03... 40k miles seems low.. but at least the owner used the car.. instead of sitting in the garage...

im not saying a higher than average mile porsche is a bad thing, but 41k is NOT low mileage

To me, when the mileage is so low that the warranty is going to expire before the mileage expires.....It isn't driven enough. All the problems that usually happen in the first 50k miles hasn't shown there face yet. A low mileage(high perf) car that is over 4 years old is going to have more problems than a daily driven and occasionally beat on high mileage car. Moisture, shrunkin seals, rotted hoses, smelly interior, dry rotted tires, sedimant build up in the gas, valve seals......ect.
Just from my expierence.....
