OT help from my 6speed brethren
Not sure where to post this as I only use this forum. I have to get my wifey a cab for SoCal....thing is it needs to fit real people in the back (adults). So I'm thinking Bimmer 650i, 335i, or MB CLK550. I have always been just a Porsche guy so no idea bout these others. Any thoughts from those who have had bilmmers or benzs qwould be greatly appreciated. TIA.

335 convertible...My stepmom got one and the fact that it is a 4-seater with a retractable hardtop is great as you don't have to fiddle with hardtop storage and it will keep warm in the winter (if you use it then)

335 is a nice package. good power with the twin turbos. hardtop. room for four. and relatively inexpensive.

If rear seat room is a binding constraint, the 335i has more rear-seat leg room than the Merc or the M6, but it is still not going to be comfortable if someone larger than 5' 6"" is sitting behind someone with long legs. There is also more shoulder and elbow room in the back of the 335i because of the design of the solid top (and more trunk space with the top down, if that matters).

Take it from someone who is on his 3rd BMW (each time swearing I would never buy another), there will be problems, and you will have the service manager on your speed dial.
