Nissan GTR 7:15 at the ring!!!!!!
#18
I don't see how the lap times would help 99 percent of the owners unless they used it just for the track. I personally see no excitement when I look at the car except maybe if it had surf racks and surfboards. I guess to each their own.

i agree with those who say that there isn't a chance in holy hell that that car did a 7:15. the numbers on the car just dont add up to anywhere near that..and the n-ring is as much about the right amount of power as it is corners.
It's about harnessing the right amount of power with the right handling spec and in order to do a 7:15....that car would have to be SO TUNED BEYOND SHOWROOM SPEC that it would be like saying jenna jameson is a virgin --> Not in this lifetime.
Out of all cars, japanese manufacturer/tested cars are the ones i would trust the least. they want to beat everyone so badly that they will and have cheated to prove a point. If you look at any Best Motoring video where they have a 10 lap super battle against the rest of the worlds cars, the JDM cars will clearly be shod in superior rubber (R-compounds) and even sometimes slightly tuned (but makes a big deal on a turboed Jap car)...so as to come first against the ferrari's or mighty 996TT (which they still could't beat).
JUST TO STAY OBJECTIVE HERE...i love japanese cars and no one has owned and driven more of them on here than I...with few exceptions (i've got every RX7, Silvia, R32 SKyline GT-R, Supra, AE86 corolla around a track or have owned for more than a few months at a time)..so i dont hate on japanese cars...i just don't trust their claims on world beating numbers on industry standard tests.

The thing i like about the car is the history, the rareness, and the style (lack there of to some ). I have always been a big JDM fan and always will be. The "its just a Nissan" comments go in one ear and out the other for me. I could care less what make/model/price the car is, if i like it - i like it.
So for having worked my way up in the ranks since age 17 when i bought my first JDM ride and waited weeks for my "cool" jap parts to come in the mail to now having owned/driven almost every great JDM car, i can honestly say that the GTR is #1 on my list when it hits showrooms - regardless of price, looks, and Lap times.
