Actually "getting" the track will be the hard part!!
Also would be fun to set up some caravans from different areas to the track!

Ok so here is what I am offering our west coast family and everyone else.

I would be more than happy to head up and sponsor an event out here.

I would even be more than happy to open it up to all 6speed family.
Regardless, if you have a turbo or NA car you are more than welcome.

But we need to plan it and I think that Vegas would be a great place to do it.
Do it on a weekend and run the roval of LVMS this would give everyone an oppurtunity to come out and have fun for the weekend. For those of you that have a signifigant other than your P car, it gives them an oppurtunity to come out and have some fun as well.

We could book a block of rooms at the PALMS, Belagio or any place else and the hotels can and will offer specific security for the cars at night.

Anyone interested in a West Coast Vegas meet?
Its 4-6 hours from So Cal. 8 Hours from NorCal and close to those of you in Az, NM.

It will obviously cost more for the track but why not turn into a mini vacation.
Besides its a lot better than Willow Springs or Buttonwillow.

Your thoughts fella's????????

Fab I think you may want to make a second thread so we dont get crossed up with people that are interested since this would be two seperate events.

I would vote for Mid-Ohio but might make it to VIR if you guys end up there.
Would be nice to meet everyone in person and I do like road trips and I wouldn't have to drive through Texas!

My car will remain a street car and I have no trailer. No place to store one, and nothing to tow it with, so my interest would only be Road Atlanta. I don't want to put 700 to 800 miles on my engine just to get to a track.

There used to be an infield course at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Is that no longer available? Also used to be something in Rockingham NC. What about Barber?

Barber would not be a good idea inmo. A bunch of novice drivers with 600+hp power Porsches at Barber would not be a good idea..heck we could all buy a 996 TT for the price it would cost to rent Barber..

We want one of the Premier courses in the country and rockingham doesnt fit the bill. Barber is much too far for some people in the northern parts.

Al you can rent a trailer for $50 a day from Uhaul, manalex did it for our trip to roebling, you can also rent a truck for less than $100 bucks a day so lets say $300 max, I dont think that's unresonable.

list updated, waiting for Al to give in.

OK Dez, you got me. I have become neutral for anything within a 5-6 hr. drive. That puts VIR in range. According to Mini- the cost at Barber is prohibitive. RA is still my first choice. Wife's illness makes distant trips somewhat of a problem.

Have you looked into the cost of track rental for a day at any of these places? What about corner workers? Do that be we? Will track insurance honor untrained corner workers? I know you guys did something at Little Talladega. I believe the organizer provided the corner workers. Is my memory serving well?
