I can assure you that this is a GT800 car; stock heads, stock cams, stock displacement. It seems that everyone has underestimated the performance of the GT800 package. This is the first time that a GT800 car ran the 1/4 at a good track with favorable DA conditions. I'll be sending my GT2 out East soon to do the same, I'm sure the numbers will be shocking to many of the disbelivers here also.

So is Englishtown considered "the track" to test on for accurate numbers?

I wouldn't say "The Track". The East Coast tracks have better prep and atmospheric conditions than we have out west.

You dont have to tell me about track situations, i know all about it. I run at the so called "worst track in USA." From what i hear its all about Etown and Atco.

Again, this is a crazy time and i have nothing but respect for the accomplishment. I am very happy to see a 996TT do this.

Im going to go out on a limb here and say that the car is easily making more then 700rwhp during that run, a 150mph trap speed is ridiculous. I think the scenario was more like at least 800rwhp, 2800lb's with a 1.59 60 foot at a good track = equals amazing times.

c'mmon Al....thats right in your backyard. You should know the answer to that if EvoMS shipped their car all the way from AZ to NJ/NYC......there is a reason for that. Sea Level + Atmospheric Conditions, + Track Prep does good for all cars. Why do you think all the records are set at E-Town or Atco, or good tracks out East? Again, congrats to the entire EvoMS team.

PS. Are you gonna make any passes at E-town with your 996TT soon? *hint hint*
