[VID] My 996TT vs. Stg3. S/C M3
#16
Actually, it was a friendly race and we'll be running again soon. M3 owner said he walked a 485 RWHP Supra recently, and did not have a problem with me running high boost. Why do you take it so personally when a M3 gets walked? I own an M3 as well...what's the big deal?

Actually im just posting whats fair, i dont care who wins or loses really. That M3 still has no chance against your car even on pump.

If my Stage 1 doesn't run over 118mph I'm going to be pissed. I lose by a car and a half to my buddies 497rwhp 03 Cobra thats been 11.9 @ 121. Hell stock I beat another friends 400rwhp Trans Am by a car.
When you were going 121-123 what kind of power were you making and what was the weather like?

Damn, that was some serious yankage. I would think that being a turboed car gives the 996 an advantage at higher speeds. That M3 did sound pretty sweet.

Yeah the M3 did sound pretty mean. Not going to lie about that lol.

My car was making around 500rwhp at that time.

Of course...the "fairest" thing one could do is put both cars on equal fuel..(say, 100 octane) and then run as much boost that both cars can safely run on that octane (by either changing the setting on the EBC or switching octane files..... and then by swapping the pulley on the M3's S/C to a smaler one).
What will happen is the M3 will still get walked, but will then have to go back and re-install the larger pulley to run safely on pump gas...while the 996 owner will just switch octane files back to the "pump" gas one or lower the boost using his EBC (depending on the setup)
We can talk about "what's fair" all day long...but regardless of what's done, that particular M3 won't have a chance against Awais' car....as has been said.

That makes more sense on his traps. That is really impressive for yours!

Again, yes the M3 will still get walked.

Thanks guys...best part is, the car is very lightly modded and I can still pull more power without going crazy like Scott or Mark
