I've seen plenty of leaf spring cars go wheels up and have no problem going straight and keeping it from twisting the car in pieces. It's amazing what a little shock and sway bar tuning will do.

Bill,
Your ride height might be a too high and shock settings too soft, That gives you the feeling of the front lifting do to increase of weight transfer. Does it dive when when you hit hit the brakes hard?
