Is double clutching even needed these days? Shoot, I don't even think I'd be able to do that smoothly!
Nope. Our wise fathers invented synchros for that reason

Every time I drive... I used to double clutch but that just became a bit ridiculous with modern trannies... I used to drive stick on an older 2002 so that made it actually worthwhile (I think?)...

I do it in everything I drive (except my cars with automatics). Nothing better than coming into a corner and downshift/rev-matching to put it right in the sweet spot

Funny you ask,

I thought no I dont unless driving agressively but come to think of
it; I do it sort of naturally (No, I am no Marc Lieb), AND for fun.
Love playing with the gearbox since everything else I drive during the day is
pure "transportation" (re: boring)

So all of you guys blip the throttle coming to a stop???

I do it if I am getting on an off-ramp, decelerating for a corner, etc., but this is all 2-3-4 gear stuff. I can't imagine doing a heel-toe stop at a red light...

Heel toe is for downshifting while braking for a turn.
