I do it almost everytime I drive the more I think about it. After I get on it I always blip the throttle in neutral, habit due to having cars with big cams (to make sure the car does not die).

"Rev-matching" is simply blipping the throttle while downshifting to prevent the "shock" effect that can shift your vehicle's weight and cause you to lose control. "Heel-toe" is just the common & proper way of doing it.

Thanks! For further clarification, when downshifting (but not turning) I should heel-toe when braking -> blip the throttle -> downshift to lower-gear (thus matching rev with tranny -> continue to break -> repeat again till down to 1st-gear then stop?

Yup, it makes the drive funner and smoother... depends how I'm feeling though and how fast I'm going.

When I wanna show off I blip the throttle about 3 times then the last time match the rev and take off

Double-clutching was used to prevent damage mostly to your trannny gears, not your clutch. And these days with the advent of tranny synchros, there's no point in double-clutching, IMO. That is...unless you drive a big-rig.

Yes...but there's no really reason to do it in 1st if you plan to come to a stop.
