Need your help-Overly debated topic but need your advice please
Hello,
I was in the market for a 997C2S black-but cannot stop awing at the 996 turbo. I found a few that seem to be a great deal and seem to be in great condition, but I am afraid of an older car and something which has turbo's considering maintenance cost of known problems-ie-pop out issue, slave cyclinder leaking and other cost. I am not an idiot and understand that a P-Car takes money to keep it pristine and also appreciate regular servicing but what should I really look out for when purchasing an older 996.
Does it matter if it is a 2001?---A few people have told me about some updates and such. I found a few 2001 low mileage cars.
Or would a 2002 be better with more miles?
Do the 3rd party warranty companies really cover parts that break or are the limited warranties really limited?
2001 with low mileage and black--

or
2003 with higher mileage and black?

2002 high mileage black but cheap

for a point of reference I paid $58K for my Black CPO 03 X-50 w/GPS, carbon shifter and supple leather with 61K from a Porsche dealer last December. The car has been flawless so far.

I cannot understand where some of you guys find these crazy deals.
I know another member who got the exact 997 i was looking for and paid under what i was expecting to pay and basically has my dream car right now.
Now this post with a 2003 x50 cpo-ed? wooow...I mean that is exactly a car i would go for and the price is perfect. I am not sure if it is because i am looking in the wrong places but i have looked in -- autotrader, cars. com , ebay, rennlist, everything and still no luck.
Any of you luck leprachaun's find me a good deal like this i would appreciate it. Its been hard enough already thinking about loosing my four doors and trunk from my S4 practicality and going to my dream enthusiat car as a daily driver. So paying a better price and finding a younger car espcially cpoed would fit me perfectly and make me a happier consumer.
